R&D and Technical Development

Board-level failure analysis, measurement and verification, test fixture development, component and module production. Beyond device repair, we build technical solutions for corporate projects.

What We Do

Beyond repair: component-level engineering

VS TEKNIK is an independent technical service and electronics workshop based in Düzce, Türkiye. Our registered activity code is 261199 — Manufacture of other electronic components n.e.c.

Most of our daily work is device repair, but the discipline behind it is an R&D one: finding the root cause of a board fault by measurement, building a repeatable repair process, and producing our own test fixtures when a job requires it. This page describes that side of our work for corporate clients and project partners.

Who we work with: businesses holding stacks of faulty boards, manufacturers needing pre-production verification, organisations managing device fleets, and startups at the prototype stage.

Our Work Areas

Scope

01

Failure analysis

Finding the root cause of a fault on an electronic board. Inspection at component, trace and power-rail level, with written reporting of the result.

02

Power rail and signal analysis

Rail measurement, short-circuit localisation, current draw tracking and waveform inspection.

03

Soldering process development

Thermal profile, flux and alloy selection. Building repeatable, measurable processes for microsoldering and BGA work.

04

Test and measurement fixtures

We design and build our own test rigs, adapters, probes and holding fixtures for measurement and verification.

05

Circuit reconstruction

Rebuilding broken traces and pads, layer tracing, micro jumper wiring and board recovery after mechanical damage.

06

Fault data and reporting

We log fault data by model in our own record system, extract recurring failure patterns and report them back to the client.

07

Equipment repair and modification

We repair the soldering, heating and measurement equipment used in the workshop, and redesign their control boards to add new functions.

08

Simplification and part reduction

We develop circuit solutions that deliver the same function with fewer components: lower cost, less heat and fewer points of failure.

Method

How we work

Every job follows the same measurement-driven sequence. We do not swap parts on a guess.

Call for a technical review
  • 01 — Definition — Fault conditions, device history and any previous interventions are recorded.
  • 02 — Measurement — Rail, signal and resistance measurements against schematics and boardview.
  • 03 — Isolation — The faulty area is narrowed down to component level with thermal and microscopic inspection.
  • 04 — Intervention — Component replacement, solder repair or trace reconstruction under a controlled thermal profile.
  • 05 — Verification — Load testing, re-measurement and a burn-in period; the result is reported in writing.

Component and module production

Within the scope of our activity code, alongside repair services we carry out production and prototyping of electronic components and modules.

  • Cable, flex and connector assembly — made to measure with terminated ends.
  • Test rig and fixture production — custom measurement tooling for a specific board or device.
  • Equipment modification boards — design and production of control and interface boards that add new functions to an existing device.
  • Small-batch module assembly — limited-quantity assembly and placement work.
  • Prototype board assembly — sample production and first-power testing.
  • Reverse measurement of existing boards — documentation to make an existing part reproducible.
FAQ

About R&D and corporate projects

Do you take on corporate projects?
Yes. We handle device fleets, batches of faulty boards, pre-production verification and prototype-stage work. Once you send the request we assess feasibility and estimated timing, then get back to you.
Do you provide a written analysis report?
Yes. On request we deliver a report covering the root cause, the measurements taken and the conclusion. The report can also be used in insurance and warranty processes.
Do you produce samples or prototypes?
Yes. We do cable and flex assembly, test fixture production and small-batch module assembly. Pricing depends on quantity and technical requirements.
How is confidentiality handled?
We sign a non-disclosure agreement on request for corporate projects. Project data, schematics and samples are never shared with third parties.
Do you also develop the equipment you use yourselves?
Yes. We repair the soldering, heating and measurement equipment in our own workshop and redesign their control boards to add functions. The goal is to achieve the same result with fewer components; the same approach can be applied to client equipment.
Can we work with you from outside Düzce?
Yes. Boards and samples can be shipped to us. We share measurement results and photographs throughout the process.
